Medications to Stay Away From for Yeast Infections

If you are suffering from Candidiasis, don't feel like you're alone. It is reported that three fourths of the world's population will have some type of yeast infection at one point in their lives. This means that even if you are male or a woman, young or old, Asian or Scottish, you can get a yeast infection anywhere on your body. A yeast infection, or Candidiasis if you'd like to get technical, is not a serious risk to your health but an annoying problem usually. But sometimes when trying to cure a yeast infection with a treatment seen in various books or internet sites you can actually make the infection worse.

If you think you have Candidiasis, the first thing you should do is go to your doctor. Following a preliminary visit to make sure that your affliction is in reality a yeast infection, you should be able to identify the symptoms yourself if there are any future outbreaks. Visiting a doctor that first time is essential because you don't want to treat for an infection without there being one. If you use a topical solution or takes pills for a yeast infection without there being an infection, a body will develop a resistance to the treatment and be much more resistant to it than before.

One pretty common recommendation for a solution is the use of tea tree oil. While tea tree oil can be useful in some instances when used on the skin, it should not be taken orally. The right dose for fighting yeast infections has not yet been determined. If an excess is taken it can be fatal for someone.

Another product to stay away from is garlic oil. Botulism spores grow in the ground where the garlic is grown also. If there are spores in the garlic and it is mixed with oil then the spores can get bigger and thrive because of a lack of oxygen. This creates a tasteless and scentless poison that will result in serious sickness or sometimes death.

If you are searching for a cure, do some research and be sure you stay away from these methods. With a little research and patience you will find a product that will be effective and pose no medical risks. There are many treatments to cure yourself using in house or organic products without the dangers or side effects of the things listed above.
