What is Different with Anaerobics and Why is it Good For You?

Everybody in the world needs to have physical activity. It doesn't matter who we are, cardiovascular exercise is necessary for health and a high quality of life. It has a lot of benefits and can improve life for people in a variety of varied ways. Aerobic and anaerobic are the kinds of cardiovascular exercise. Why is it necessary to participate in either of these?

When greater exertion level exercises are done in a shorter amount of time it is referred to as anaerobic exercise. The term anaerobic translates to without air or without oxygen. A chemical called lactic acid is developed by the body as it is exercised in very hard activities. If aerobic activity is performed to enhance stamina, anaerobic exercise is to increase strength for spots when large levels of energy are required in a small period of time.

Aerobic exercise is activity that is usually lower in intensity and lengthier in time span. The term aerobic means with air or with oxygen. It is performed to condition the muscles to be more active for increased periods of time. It is often known as endurance training or cross training. Swimming, biking, waliking, or jogging are some examples of aerobic exertion. A great quantity of oxygen is required to create the energy for these activities and keep the body’s stamina. Aerobic activity is critical for good health and enhanced performance.

Even though it builds muscle and lean body mass, generally less calories are burned during an anaerobic workout session than an aerobic session. As more energy is burned with muscle that replaces fat cells, muscle and lean body mass inceaseIncreased muscle mass leads to lost weight and a leaner figure as muscle groups burn more energy than fat cells. As you start to exercise anaerobically, there is a shortage of oxygen to the muscles. With anaerobic training the body can become better equipped to handle fatigue. As the exertion level increases, the body creates less lactic acid and the disposal of it from the bloodstream becomes more effective. With increased muscles, the groups can perform from twelve percent - fifty percent more effectively, allowing the body to accumulate greater levels of lactic acid during exercise. Muscle fatigue occurs when lactic acid is produced. Before more anaerobic is attempted the muscles must use this lactic acid up in a rest period. During anaerobics, oxygen is used by the muscles to restore burned energy. Lactic acid removal can become more efficient with training. Running, hill climbing, jumping rope, and sprinting are exercises that require great spurts of energy and are examples of anaerobic activity.

Anaerobic exercise is usually for those who have already reached a certain level of fitness and are trying to raise speed, agility, and strength. Participants need to do a good bit of aerobic warming up and muscle stretching previous to and after an anaerobic exercise session. It is not recommended to participate in anaerobic exercise if you are pregnant. Also, if you are a novice to exercise, you should begin at about fifty percent intensity level for your individual fitness level.
