What is up with Anaerobics and Why is it Healthy For You?

Anyone in the world needs to exercise. No matter who you are, cardiovascular fitness is necessary for health and a happy quality of life. Aspects of life can be better in all kinds of different ways with it's diverse advantages. Aerobic and anaerobic are the types of cardiovascular activity. Why do we need to do either one of these?

In general, anaerobic exercise ends up burning less calories than aerobic exercise does, but it does build muscle and lean body mass. As more energy is burned with muscle that replaces fat cells, muscle and lean body mass inceaseIncreased muscle mass leads to lost weight and a leaner figure as muscle groups burn more energy than fat cells. As you start to exercise anaerobically, there is a shortage of oxygen to the muscles. Handling fatigue becomes easier as the body is trained more with anaerobic exercise. As the exertion level is raised, the body produces less lactic acid and the removal of it from the blood becomes more efficient. With increased muscles, the groups can perform from 12% to 50% more efficiently, allowing the body to accumulate higher levels of lactic acid during activities. Muscle fatigue occurs when lactic acid is produced. The lactic acid produced must be used up during a rest period before more anaerobic exercise is attempted. The muscles use oxygen to restore the energy burned during anaerobics. Training makes lactic acid removal in the body more effective. A few examples of anaerobic exercise are; sprinting, hill climbing, running intervals, jumping rope, and other activities that require large bursts of energy.

Aerobic exercise is action that is usually lower in activity level and lengthier in duration. The word aerobic means with air or with oxygen. It is performed to condition the body to be more active for longer amounts of time. It is commonly called endurance training or cross training. Some aerobic exercises include; walking, jogging, cycling, or swimming. A good amount of oxygen is needed to create the energy for these activities and keep the body’s endurance. Aerobic exertion is critical for good health and enhanced performance.

When greater intensity activities are performed in a shorter amount of time it is called anaerobic activity. The word anaerobic means without air or without oxygen. A chemical called lactic acid is created by the body as it is exercised in very strenuous activities. If aerobic exercise is performed to increase stamina, anaerobic activity is to raise muscle strength for times when big amounts of energy are necessary in a quick time.

Anaerobic activity is recommended for people who have already achieved a certain amount of health and are trying to raise speed, agility, and power. People need to do a good deal of aerobic warming up and stretching previous to and after an anaerobic exercise session. It is not a good idea to do anaerobic exercise if you are pregnant. Also, if you are a beginner to physical activity, you should start out at about fifty percent intensity rate for your individual fitness degree.
