What is Anaerobic Exercise and Why is it Good For You?

Physical activity is one of those things that anyone on the earth needs to do. For weel-being and a good quality of living, cardiovascular exercise is necessary no matter who you are. Lives can be improved in all types of various ways with it's various benefits. There are two kinds of cardiovascular exercise: aerobic and anaerobic. Why is it necessary to participate in either of these?

Muscle fatigue occurs when lactic acid is produced. Before more anaerobic is attempted the muscles must use this lactic acid up in a rest period. The muscles use oxygen to restore the energy burned during anaerobics. Lactic acid removal can become more efficient with training. Some examples of anaerobic exercise are; sprinting, hill climbing, running intervals, jumping rope, and various activities that require big bursts of energy.

Even though it builds muscle and lean body mass, generally less calories are burned during an anaerobic workout session than an aerobic session. As more energy is burned with muscle that replaces fat cells, muscle and lean body mass inceaseIncreased muscle mass leads to lost weight and a leaner figure as muscle groups burn more energy than fat cells. As you start to exercise anaerobically, there is a shortage of oxygen to the muscles. With anaerobic training the body can become better equipped to handle fatigue. As the fitness level increases, the body produces less lactic acid and the removal of it from the bloodstream becomes more efficient. With increased muscles, the groups can perform from 12% to 50% more effectively, letting the body to gain higher levels of lactic acid during exercise. When greater intensity activities are done in a shorter area of time it is called anaerobic activity. The word anaerobic means without air or without oxygen. As the body is labored in very hard activities it creates a by-product called lactic acid to maintain it's energy. aerobic exercise is performed to raise stamina, anaerobic activity is to increase strength for spots when large levels of energy are required in a short period of time.

Aerobic exercise is exertion that is usually lower in activity level and lengthier in duration. The word aerobic means with air or with oxygen. Aerobic exercise is done to train the muscles to be more energetic for longer amounts of time. It is often referred to endurance training or cross training. Swimming, biking, waliking, or jogging are some kinds of aerobic exertion. A good amount of oxygen is necessary to create the energy for these exercises and retain the body’s stamina. Optimal health and enhanced performance requires aerobic activity.

Anaerobic training is usually for those who have already obtained a certain level of health and are trying to raise speed, agility, and strength. Participants need to do a fair amount of aerobics warming up and stretching previous to and after an anaerobic exercise session. It is not a good idea to participate in anaerobic exercise if you are a pregnant woman. Also, if you are a novice to exercise, you should begin at about fifty percent intensity rate for your own fitness level.
