Should Women Change to Organic Make-Up?

Many people want to know if they should to change to natural makeup products. There are more than enough companies, advertisements, and "experts" who could probably give you an extremely convincing debate either way. Dr. Roberta Palestine, who did her residency at the Mayo Clinic in dermatology said, "Organic isn't always the best. Synthetic isn't necessarily worse. Some natural plants such aslikePoison Oak are not good for you at all…a chemical is a chemical, what makes the difference is your skin type." There are certainly many of skin types out there, and you can be assured for every type there's a number of cosmetic products for that particular kind.

Women who suffer from allergens and have been limited on their choices in make-up now have more options as more companies come out with products that are easy on the skin and hypoallergenic. The word "hypoallergenic" has no medical definition, as it is still not proven what ingredients reduce allergens. So are natural cosmetics products all that they are built up to be? A quick look at the ingredients list will tell the user what the key ingredients are on a product because they are listed in order of volume ratio. Often times, the ingredients will be listed on the packaging the make-up came in.

It is very important to use the new cosmetics and only the new cosmetics when switching to organic makeup. The skin needs a certain period of time before it can transition, and this will only work if it has consistent applications from the new natural makeup. By doing it this way, the skin only has to go through the adjustment phase a single time. If people are leaning toward making the switch, it is important to pay attention to the ingredients in a product that claims to be organic. Do some research before testing out a new skin care line to see if it is a trustworthy producer that uses superior ingredients and guarantees the products they make. So should consumers make the switch? It's an issue of personal decision but if you think the beauty products you now use are affecting your skin, at least consider it. Most women use the same product everyday when they leave the house. This can create dryand irritated skin that most people aren't aware of. A persons skin can become very dry from the overuse of a foundation makeup used to make the skin appear even. Some cosmetic products contain chemicals such as alcohol, formaldehyde, and mineral oil. These products will dry out the face and can cause aggravation. Women should avoid these types of makeup if the have sensitive skin whatsoever.
