Natural Cosmetics

Should you switch over to herbal cosmetics? There are plenty of companies, advertisers, and "professionals" who could probably give you an extremely convincing argument either way. Dr. Roberta Palestine, who did her residency at the Mayo Clinic in dermatology believes, "Natural isn't always the best. Manufactured isn't necessarily the worst. Poison Oak is organic, but that certainly doesn't make it goodPoison Sumac are not good for you at all…a chemical is a chemical, what is important is your skin type." There are so many different cosmetic choices because there are so many skin types, if you take the time you can get one that fits your skin.

It is very important to use the new makeup and only the new cosmetics when switching to organic products. The skin needs a certain period of time before it can transition, and this can only happen if it has only applications from the new natural makeup. By doing it this way, the face only has to undergo the adjustment phase one time. If customers are thinking about making the change, it is important to be aware of what's inside a product that claims to be natural. Do some research before trying out a new beauty product line to see if it is a reputable producer that uses high quality ingredients and backs the products they produce. So should women make the switch? Not everyone needs to change the cosmetics they use but if you are have any irritated skin its a good thing to consider. Sometimes women will be sensitive to a beauty product and not even be aware of it. Over the years, women get used to dry, itchy skin that comes from daily use of the types of make-up they wear outside and to their jobs. Ladies who apply a foundation make-up to even out the skin tone on their faces will dry out and aggravate their skin so each time is a little worse. People with sensitive skin should avoid products with fragrances, mineral oil, formaldehyde, and alcohol. These substances will all remove excess moisture from the skin and cause aggravation.

Women who suffer from allergens and not had their choices in cosmetics now have more options as more manufacturers come out with products that are easy on the epidermis and hypoallergenic. It should be noted that "hypoallergenic" has no official medical definition, as it is still not determined what ingredients reduce allergies. So are organic cosmetics products all that they are cracked up to be? A brief look at the ingredients list will tell the user what the key ingredients are on a product because they are listed in order of volume ratio. Often, the ingredients will be listed on the packaging the make-up came in.
