At some point in their life or another the majority of the earth's people will have to deal with Candidiasis, otherwise called a yeast infection. When we hear the words "yeast infection" a lot of us think of it as a woman's problem. The fact is that anybody, young and mature, male and woman, can contract this fungal infection on many places in or on the body. Hands, fingernails, toes, feet, and even around the breasts are just some of the places people can get yeast infections. So it's crucial to know just what a yeast infection is now that we know that everyone can get one anywhere.

Yeast infections are caused by a kind of fungus called Candida albicans. The body isn't affected by the majority of these but there are one-hundred kinds of Candida albicans and over one-hundred thousand categories of fungus. A fungus has specific aspects that make it similar but varied from a plant or bacteria. It is almost a mixture of characteristics from both plants and animals. Though it absolutely resembles a plant more, it does not rely on the sunlight for the gathering of nutrients, or the process known as photosynthesis. A lot like a parasite, it acquires the nutrients from the environment around it. Fungi gets its nutrients by secreting enzymes that decompose and break down tissue so that it can be absorbed by the organism, similar to a chigger you would find attached to you in the woods. Fungus naturally thrives in soil, water and damp areas, and instances of decay, like a rotting tree stump. Similar plants and animals, fungi has to have oxygen to live.

A substance in the blood called serum developing mold causes Candida albicans. Hyphe are tentacles that are dispatched from the mold when they come in contact with serum. This hyphe is the part that dispenses the poisonous liquid that breaks down cells in the body. The hyphe can be driven into the epidermis. This is so they can locate more serum and thus make more mold. The infection has already happened by the time you see an infection.

As the fungus grows and flourishes on the body, the infection that results is known as Candidiasis. Interestingly enough, the term "yeast infection" is not a completely accurate description of the ailment. You see, fungus can develop into either a yeast form or a mold . Fungus that happens by itself is known as yeast. When cells form into a lot of groups it is known as mold. A yeast infection can usually be fought off by the body's natural defenses. when the yeast develops into mold that the body begins to react and we observe that something is wrong.

The good news is that taking natural remedies you can normally cure a yeast infection. There are naturally more severe cases, but in general a yeast infection isn't a serious threat to our health; it's just a serious risk to our comfort. Do a bit of research and people should be able to cure the affliction and prevent it more in the future.
