Should you switch over to herbal make-up Just like any other subject there are great arguments from makeup companies and doctors on both sides of this topic. Dr. Roberta Palestine, who did her residency at the Mayo Clinic in dermatology stated, "Organic isn't always better. Synthetic isn't necessarily worse. Some organic plants such aslikePoison Sumac are not good for you at all…a chemical is a chemical, what matters is the skin type." There are certainly a lot of types of skin out there, and you can be assured for every type there's a number of make-up products for that particular kind.

Most females use the same makeup everyday when they go into public. This can cause parchedand itchy skin that most people aren't aware of. A persons face can become very dry from the repeated use of a foundation makeup used to make the skin appear even. Many makeup products contain chemicals such as alcohol, formaldehyde, and mineral oil. These products will dry out the face and will cause irritation. Women should avoid these types of makeup if the have sensitive skin whatsoever.

Because of the advancements in cosmetics, females that are allergic now have an option of buying hypoallergenic cosmetics that are easy on the face. The term "hypoallergenic" has no official medical definition, as it is still not proven what ingredients reduce allergies. So are natural make-up products all that they are built up to be? A brief look at the ingredients list will tell the user what the key ingredients are on a product because they are listed in order of volume ratio. Often times, the ingredients will be listed on the box the make-up came in.

It is very important to use the new makeup and only the new makeup when switching to organic products. The skin needs a certain period of time before it can transition, and this will only work if it has only applications from the new natural makeup. By doing it this way, the face only has to undergo the adjustment period one time. If you are thinking about making the switch, it is important to consider what's inside a product that claims to be organic. Do a little research before testing out a new cosmetic line to see if it is a trustworthy manufacturer that uses quality ingredients and guarantees the products they produce. So should you make the switch? It's a matter of personal decision but if you think the products you now use are possibly harming your skin, at least consider it.
