Older ladies should have creamier lipsticks applied. Textured or glossy hues should be changed to more toned down pigments that are more natural. If you catch youself out of blush, lipstick may be substituted. But never substitute blush as lipstick, it doesn't do well.

When women put on the liner to their lips before the lipstick it will often flake up and fall off quickly. When females are drinking from a cup, they can lick the spot where they are drinking from before bringing their lips to the lip of the glass. This will keep your lipstick from smudging on the side of the cup. To make lipstick last longer, remember to put on a liner before.
