The side of the glass won't get smudged this way. To make lipstick last longer, apply a lip liner first.

Mature ladies should have creamy lipsticks applied. Textured or glossy colors should be replaced by more toned down colors that are more natural. Orange and brown hued lipsticks should be averted. If it smears and gets on the teeth it can make the teeth look like they are colored yellow. Purse your mouth around your ring finger and pull out. Your teeth will stay white and shiny because the excess lipstick will come off on your middle finger.

Put on a lip liner previous to applying lipstick. If you coat your lips with lip liner it will make the layer of lipstick endure longer. Make sure the liner color matches with the lipstick. Dark liner with a whiter hued lipstick looks tacky. If a woman is using a whiter color lipstick, put it with a nude color liner. Mix the lipstick on top of the lip liner when you have done the lips. Lipstick could also be used as a blush in spots where you find yourself out. Just never use blush as lipstick, it doesn't work.
