Natural Make-Up

Should you switch over to natural cosmetics? Just like any other subject there are great arguments from makeup companies and doctors on both sides of this subject. Dr. Roberta Palestine, who did her schooling at the Mayo Clinic in dermatology said, "Natural isn't always better. Synthetic isn't always the worst. Some organic plants such aslikePoison Oak are terrible to put on your skin…a chemical is a chemical, what is important is the skin type." There are so many different cosmetic choices because there are so many skin types, if you take the time you will get one that fits your skin.

Most women use the same makeup everyday when they go into public. This can cause parchedand itchy skin that most ladies don't realize. Women who wear a base make-up to smooth out the skin color on their faces will dry out and aggravate their skin so each time is a little worse. Some makeup products use chemicals such as alcohol, formaldehyde, and mineral oil. These chemicals will dry out the face and will cause aggravation. Ladies should avoid these products if the have sensitive skin whatsoever.

When making the change to different make-ups many times the skin will have to undergo a readjustment period. So women who are contemplating about switching to all-natural cosmetics should go with it totally. By doing this, the face only has to go through the adjustment phase a single time. If people are thinking about making the change, it is important to pay attention to the ingredients in a product that says it's organic. Do a little research before testing out a new skin care line to see if it is a reputable manufacturer that uses quality ingredients and stands behind the products they manufacture. So should people make the change? Not everyone needs to switch the cosmetics they use but if you are have any irritated skin its a good thing to consider. Women who are affected from allergies and have been limited on their choices in make-up now have more options as more companies come out with products that are easy on the skin and hypoallergenic. There is no real official definition for the word hypoallergenic, because physicians aren't sure what products actually reduce allergens. Many women want to know if they are getting what they pay for when purchasing an organic cosmetic product. Just glance at the label on the back of the package, there will be a list of ingredients that you can compare to other products.
