Should People Use Organic Cosmetics?

Many people want to know if they need to switch to natural makeup products. There are plenty of companies, advertisers, and "experts" who can give you a very convincing debate either way. Dr. Roberta Palestine, who did her residency at the Mayo Clinic in dermatology said, "Organic isn't always better. Synthetic isn't necessarily the worst. Some natural plants such aslikePoison Oak are terrible to put on your faceā€¦a chemical is a chemical, what matters is your skin type." There are certainly a lot of skin types out there, and you can be assured for every type there's a variety of cosmetic products for that particular kind.

Because of the advancements in cosmetics, women that are allergic now have an option of buying hypoallergenic cosmetics that are easy on the face. It should be noted that "hypoallergenic" has no official medical definition, as it is yet to be determined what ingredients reduce allergies. Many females want to know if they are getting what they pay for when buying an organic makeup product. Just look at the label on the back of the package, and compare the listed ingredients to other cosmetic products.

When changing make-ups many times the skin will have to undergo an adjustment time. Therefore women who are contemplating about changing to organic cosmetics should go with it all the way. By doing it this way, the face only has to go through the adjustment period one time. If you are thinking about making the change, it is important to be aware of the ingredients in a product that claims to be natural. Do some research before testing out a new skin care line to see if it is a reputable manufacturer that uses quality ingredients and backs the products they produce. So should you make the switch? Not everyone needs to switch the cosmetics they use but if you are have any irritated skin its a good thing to consider. Sometimes women will be sensitive to a beauty product and not even be aware of it. Over the years, women get used to parched, itchy skin that comes from daily use of the kinds of make-up they wear out in public and to their jobs. Ladies who apply a base make-up to smooth out the skin color on their faces will dry out and aggravate their skin so each time is a bit worse. Some makeup products contain chemicals such as alcohol, formaldehyde, and mineral oil. These chemicals will remove moisture from the face and will cause irritation. Women should avoid these products if the have sensitive skin whatsoever.
