A Few Truths About Candidiasis


At some point in their life the majority of the earth's population will be affected by Candidiasis, otherwise called a yeast infection. When we hear the phrase "yeast infection" a lot of us think of it as a woman's problem. The fact is that anyone can get a yeast infection whether you are young or mature, male or female, or physically fit otherwise. Hands, fingernails, toes, feet, and even around the breasts are just a couple of the areas people can develop yeast infections. So it's crucial to know just what a yeast infection is now that we know that everybody can be affected anywhere.

Mold develops when the yeast Candida albicans touches serum, a fluid in the blood. Upon contact with the serum, yeast forms into mold and dispatches tubes from the body called hyphe. The human body breaks down when the hyphe encounter the cells by dispensing toxic fluid. The hyphe can be driven into the epidermis. This is so they can locate more serum and thus develop more mold. If you have observed an affliction that can be seen, this infection has probably already happened.

As the fungus develops and thrives on the body, the infection that results is known as Candidiasis. Interestingly enough, the term "yeast infection" is not a completely accurate description of the affliction. You see, fungus can develop into either a yeast or a mold . Fungus that happens by itself is called yeast. When cells form into a lot of groups it is called mold. A yeast infection can usually be fought off by the body's natural defenses. when the yeast develops into mold that the body starts to react and you notice that something is wrong.

Yeast infections are caused by a type of fungus called Candida albicans. The human body isn't affected by most of these but there are over one-hundred types of Candida albicans and more than one-hundred thousand types of fungus. Bacterias and plants have resembling properties that vary from fungus. It is almost a combination of aspects from plants and animals. Photosynthesis, the process plants go through to turn sunlight to nutrients, is not an aspect of fungus who does not rely on this. It obtains its nutrition from the elements around it, kind of like a parasite. Kind of like a chigger you might find attached to you in the forest, fungi gets nutrition by breaking down tissue and secreting enzymes to destroy it. Damp places, dirt, water, and instances of decay similar to a rotting tree stump are all places fungus naturally does well. Fungus has to have oxygen to live, similar to plants and animals.

If all these facts make you a little squeamish, rest assured that usually with a little wisdom about what to do you can heal a yeast infection moderately easily using natural products. There are of course more serious cases, but usually a yeast infection isn't a real threat to our health; it's just a real risk to our comfort. Do a bit of research and you should be capable of curing the infection and prevent it better in the future.
