Should Consumers Use Natural Make-Up?

Many women want to know if they need to switch to natural cosmetic products. Just like any other subject there are great arguments from makeup companies and doctors on both sides of this topic. Dr. Roberta Palestine, who did her residency at the Mayo Clinic in dermatology believes, "Herbal isn't always the best. Manufactured isn't always worse. Poison Sumac is natural, but that definitely doesn't make it goodPoison Ivy are not good for you at all…a chemical is a chemical, what is important is your skin type." There are certainly a lot of skin types out there, and you can bet for every type there's a number of make-up products for that particular kind.

Women who suffer from allergies and have been limited on their choices in cosmetics now have more options as more companies come out with products that are easy on the skin and hypoallergenic. It should be noted that "hypoallergenic" has no official medical definition, as it is yet to be proven what ingredients reduce allergens. Many females want to know if they are getting a good product when buying an organic makeup product. Just glance at the label on the back of the package, and compare the listed ingredients to other makeup products.

When switching cosmetics many times the skin will have to go through a readjustment period. Therefore women who are considering about changing to all-natural cosmetics should go with it totally. By doing it this way, the skin only has to go through the adjustment period a single time. If consumers are leaning toward making the switch, it is important to be aware of what's inside a product that claims to be natural. Do a little research before testing out a new cosmetic line to see if it is a reputable manufacturer that uses superior ingredients and stands behind the goods they make. So should consumers make the change? It's an issue of personal choice but if you think the products you now use are no good for your skin, at least consider it. Most females use the same product everyday when they go into public. This can cause parchedand irritated skin that most ladies don't realize. Ladies who apply a foundation make-up to even out the skin tone on their faces will dry out and irritate their skin so each day is a bit worse. Many makeup products use chemicals such as alcohol, formaldehyde, and mineral oil. These products can dry out the face and will cause aggravation. Ladies should not use these types of makeup if the have sensitive skin whatsoever.
