The great thing is that there is a variety of things that you can do to keep the make-up and lipstick on and looking beautiful. Here are some things you can do to keep the lipstick looking great and lasting a longer time.

Try mixing a couple of lipsticks for a whole new pigment if you find your current choice of lipsticks wrong for the look or outfit you are going for that day. Put a shiny colored lipstick over a matte that is the base. So don't dispose of the bad pigments of lipstick; you may need them to mix with another one. When women have big lips they put liner outside their natural lip line and put a tiny amount of gloss in the middle of their bottom lip.

To start with, buying the lipstick.Try going with pigments that are attractive with a variety of appearances and clothes. When testing the new lipstick, do not test it out on your mouth. It's unsanitary. Instead, test it on your fingertips; they are the nearest match to your lips. Putting the rest of a tube in a small plastic container is a good way to use the rest of a tube. Use the lip applicator from the old storage jar when you have to reapply.

Creamier lipsticks should be applied by older women. Matte or shiny colors should be replaced by more dull colors that are more nuetral. Women should try to stay away from brown and orange hues of lipstick. If it smears and gets on the teeth it can make the teeth look like they are colored yellow. You can keep the extra lipstick off your teeth by putting your middle finger in your mouth, purse your lips around it, and pulling out. Your teeth will stay bright and shiny because the extra lipstick will come off on your ring finger.

Lipstick tends to peel up and fall off quickly when lipstick is applied before liner. When women are drinking from a glass, they can lick the spot where they are drinking from before bringing their lips to the lip of the cup. This trickwill keep your lipstick from smearing on the side of the glass. To make lipstick last a lot longer, remember to put on a lip liner first.

Before applying the lipstick, use a lip liner. The coat of the lipstick will last longer if you fill in your lips with liner. Be sure the lip liner hue coordinates with the lipstick. It looks tacky if you have a darker liner with a lighter lipstick. If you put on a clear lip liner, use a light color lipstick. After you have lined the lips, blend the lipstick on top. If you catch youself with no blush, lipstick may be used. Just never use blush as lipstick, it does not work.
