Should Consumers Switch to Organic Cosmetics?

Many people want to know if they need to switch to natural makeup products. Just like any other subject there are great debates from manufacturers and doctors on both sides of this topic. Dr. Roberta Palestine, who did her schooling at the Mayo Clinic in dermatology stated, "Organic isn't always better. Synthetic isn't necessarily worse. Some natural plants such aslikePoison Sumac are terrible to put on your faceā€¦a chemical is a chemical, what makes the difference is your skin type." There are hundreds of different cosmetic choices because there are so many different skin types, if you spend the time you can find one that fits your face.

When making the change to different make-ups many times the skin will have to go through an adjustment period. So women who are contemplating about changing to organic beauty products should go with it totally. By doing this, the face only has to undergo the adjustment period one time. If you are considering making the switch, it is important to pay attention to what's inside a product that says it's organic. Do a little research before testing out a new beauty product line to see if it is a trustworthy company that uses superior ingredients and backs the goods they manufacture. So should people make the change? It's an issue of personal choice but if you think the goods you now use are no good for your skin, at least consider it. Women who suffer from allergies and not had their choices in cosmetics now have more options as more companies come out with products that are gentle on the skin and hypoallergenic. There is no real official definition for the term hypoallergenic, because doctors aren't sure what products can reduce allergens. Many females want to know if they are getting what they pay for when purchasing an organic makeup product. Just look at the label on the back of the product, and compare the listed ingredients to other cosmetic products.

Often women will be allergic to a product and not even realize it. Throughout the years, women get used to parched, itchy skin that comes from repeated use of the types of make-up they wear outside and to work. A persons face can become very dry from the repeated use of a base makeup used to make the face appear even. Some cosmetic products use chemicals such as alcohol, formaldehyde, and mineral oil. These products can dry out the face and will cause irritation. Ladies should avoid these types of makeup if the have sensitive skin whatsoever.
