Should Women Use Organic Cosmetics?

Many women want to know if they should to change to natural makeup products. Just like any other subject there are great arguments from makeup companies and physicians on both sides of this topic. Dr. Roberta Palestine, who did her schooling at the Mayo Clinic in dermatology believes, "Organic isn't always the best. Synthetic isn't always worse. Some organic plants likePoison Ivy are terrible to put on your skin…a chemical is a chemical, what makes the difference is the skin type." There are so many different cosmetic choices because there are so many skin types, if you spend the time you will get one that fits your face.

Women who are affected from allergies and have been limited on their choices in make-up now have more options as more companies come out with products that are gentle on the epidermis and hypoallergenic. The term "hypoallergenic" has no official medical definition, as it is still not proven what ingredients reduce allergies. Many people want to know if they are getting a good product when purchasing a natural cosmetic product. Just look at the label on the back of the package, there will be a list of ingredients that you can compare to other products.

When changing cosmetics many times the skin will have to go through an adjustment period. Therefore women who are contemplating about switching to all-natural cosmetics should go with it totally. By doing this, the face only has to undergo the adjustment phase one time. If consumers are leaning toward making the change, it is important to consider the ingredients in a product that says it's organic. Do some research before trying out a new cosmetic line to see if it is a trustworthy company that uses quality ingredients and guarantees the products they make. So should women make the change? It's a matter of personal choice but if you think the goods you currently use are possibly harming your skin, at least consider it. Often women will be allergic to a beauty product and not even be aware of it. Throughout the years, women get used to dry, irritated skin that comes from daily use of the kinds of make-up they wear out in public and to their jobs. Ladies who apply a foundation make-up to even out the skin tone on their faces will dry out and irritate their skin so each time is a little worse. Many cosmetic products contain chemicals such as alcohol, formaldehyde, and mineral oil. These products will remove moisture from the face and will cause aggravation. Ladies should not use these products if the have sensitive skin whatsoever.
