Should Consumers Make The Switch to All-Natural Cosmetics?

Many women want to know if they should to switch to natural cosmetic products. There are more than enough companies, advertisers, and "professionals" who can give you an extremely contrasting argument either way. Dr. Roberta Palestine, who did her residency at the Mayo Clinic in dermatology stated, "Herbal isn't always the best. Manufactured isn't necessarily the worst. Poison Ivy is natural, but that certainly does not make it goodPoison Sumac are terrible to put on your skin…a chemical is a chemical, what is important is the skin type." There are so many different makeup choices because there are so many skin types, if you take the time you will find one that fits your face.

Women who are affected from allergies and not had their choices in make-up now have more options as more manufacturers come out with products that are easy on the epidermis and hypoallergenic. The term "hypoallergenic" has no medical definition, as it is still not determined what ingredients reduce allergies. So are natural cosmetics products all that they are built up to be? A quick look at the ingredients list will tell the consumer what the main ingredients are on a product because they are listed in order of volume ratio. Often, the ingredients will be listed on the packaging the make-up came in.

When changing cosmetics often times the skin will have to undergo a readjustment period. So women who are thinking about changing to all-natural cosmetics should go with it all the way. By doing it this way, the skin only has to go through the adjustment phase one time. If you are considering making the switch, it is important to be aware of the ingredients in a product that says it's organic. Do a little research before testing out a new beauty product line to see if it is a reputable manufacturer that uses superior ingredients and stands behind the goods they make. So should women make the switch? Not everyone needs to change the cosmetics they use but if you are experiencing any irritated skin its a good thing to consider. Most females use the same product everyday when they go into public. This can create dryand irritated skin that most ladies aren't aware of. Ladies who wear a base make-up to even out the skin color on their faces will dry out and irritate their skin so each day is a little worse. Women with delicate skin should stay away from products with perfumes, mineral oil, formaldehyde, and alcohol. These chemicals will all remove excess moisture from the skin and cause irritation.
