Should Users Use All-Natural Cosmetics?

Many women want to know if they need to change to natural makeup products. There are plenty of companies, advertisements, and "experts" who can give you a very assuring argument either way. Dr. Roberta Palestine, who did her schooling at the Mayo Clinic in dermatology stated, "Natural isn't always the best. Manufactured isn't necessarily the worst. Some organic plants such aslikePoison Oak are not good for you at all…a chemical is a chemical, what is important is your skin type." There are definitely a lot of types of skin out there, and you can be assured for every type there's a number of cosmetic products for that particular kind.

Because of the advancements in makeup, women that have allergies now have an option of purchasing hypoallergenic cosmetics that are easy on the face. There is no real official definition for the term hypoallergenic, because physicians aren't sure what products can reduce allergens. Many females want to know if they are getting a good product when purchasing a natural makeup product. Just look at the label on the back of the product, there will be a list of ingredients that you can compare to other products.

Sometimes women will be sensitive to a product and not even be aware of it. Throughout the years, women get used to parched, irritated skin that comes from repeated use of the types of make-up they wear out in public and to their jobs. A persons face can become very dry from the repeated use of a foundation makeup used to make the face appear even. Many makeup products contain chemicals such as alcohol, formaldehyde, and mineral oil. These products can remove moisture from the face and can cause irritation. Women should not use these types of cosmetics if the have sensitive skin whatsoever.

It is very important to use the new makeup and only the new makeup when switching to natural products. The skin needs a certain period of time before it can transition, and this can only happen if it has consistent applications from the new organic makeup. By doing this, the skin only has to undergo the adjustment phase a single time. If consumers are leaning toward making the adjustment, it is important to consider the ingredients in a product that says it's organic. Do some research before testing out a new skin care line to see if it is a trustworthy company that uses quality ingredients and stands behind the products they make. So should you make the change? It's a matter of personal choice but if you think the beauty products you currently use are possibly harming your skin, at least consider it.
