Should Women Switch to Natural Make-Up?

Many women want to know if they need to change to natural makeup products. Just like any other subject there are great arguments from makeup companies and doctors on both sides of this subject. Dr. Roberta Palestine, who did her schooling at the Mayo Clinic in dermatology said, "Organic isn't always the best. Synthetic isn't necessarily the worst. Poison Sumac is organic, but that definitely does not make it goodPoison Ivy are not good for you at all…a chemical is a chemical, what makes the difference is the skin type." There are definitely many of types of skin out there, and you can be assured for every type there's a number of cosmetic products for that particular kind.

Women who suffer from allergens and not had their choices in make-up now have more options as more companies come out with products that are easy on the epidermis and hypoallergenic. The term "hypoallergenic" has no medical definition, as it is yet to be determined what ingredients reduce allergens. Many people want to know if they are getting what they pay for when buying a natural makeup product. Just glance at the label on the back of the package, and compare the listed ingredients to other cosmetic products.

Sometimes women will be sensitive to a product and not even realize it. Throughout the years, women get used to dry, itchy skin that comes from repeated use of the kinds of cosmetics they wear outside and to work. A persons skin can become very dry from the repeated use of a foundation makeup used to make the skin appear even. Many cosmetic products contain chemicals such as alcohol, formaldehyde, and mineral oil. These products can dry out the skin and will cause aggravation. Women should not use these types of cosmetics if the have sensitive skin whatsoever.

When changing make-ups many times the skin will have to go through a readjustment period. Therefore women who are considering about changing to all-natural cosmetics should go with it fully. By doing it this way, the skin only has to undergo the adjustment phase one time. If you are leaning toward making the switch, it is important to pay attention to the ingredients in a product that claims to be natural. Do some research before trying out a new skin care line to see if it is a trustworthy company that uses high quality ingredients and guarantees the products they produce. So should women make the switch? Not everyone needs to change the makeup they use but if you are experiencing any irritated skin its a good thing to consider.
