What Beauty Solutions Work Best?

Most doctors advise regularly following a daily skin care routine. Such a routine does not have to be complicated or time-consuming. It can be performed by itself or as preparation for more progressive skin care methods.

Battling acne with Advanced Medicines

For maximum skin care benefits, the basic routine is usually insufficient, especially for people over 30. Adding a well-selected product or two with wisely chosen, scientifically proven active ingredients can further improve the outcome. However, the benefits of secondary skin care treatments partly depend on whether you properly integrate them with your basic routine. For example if you try and use the secondary medicine without proper cleansing, it will not be 100% effective because it will not work past the oil and dirt on the skin. The over use of the cleansers can also reduce the outcome of the medication, so be sure to do the research prior to mixing products.

Common Usage

The perfect daily method for skin care would consist of washing, toning, moisturizing, sun protection.

The majority of people have better results with two times daily skin care, however for people with sensitive or dry skin it can be best to use the treatment only once while moisturizing more often. Most doctors feel that the routine should incorporate exfoliation, but not excessively. Exfoliation once or twice a week is usually sufficient. People with fast natural epidermal turnover may need less or none at all.

Protection from ultraviolet light (both UVA and UVB) is important for any skin care routine. A good UNA+UVB sun block should be put on top of your moisturizer or other products as a final step of your regimen if sun exposure is possible. It is always recommended to use a single product for protection from UV rays, however some people like to use cosmetics that contain sunblock to save time.

Find The Best Programs for you

The steps of the general routine should be changed to fit your skin type. You should remember that your skin type can change with the season, diet and age. For example, the skin tends to be oilier in the warm months and drier in the winter. Menopause often brings about a change from oily or normal to dry skin. Conversely, a shift from a low-fat diet to that rich in certain fats (particularly essential fatty acids) can turn dry skin to normal. Although UV rays will be harmful to any skin, the pigmentation of skin makes a difference in the amount of sunscreen needed. Light skin needs more care while dark skinned.

A good time to apply secondary products is right after you washed/cleansed, rinsed and slightly patted your skin with a towel, i.e. when your skin is clean, warm and still slightly moist. Most of the active treatments contain some kind of moisturizing ingredients so the need for additional moisturizer is minimal. If it is needed wait for the other products to work before applying anything.
