Fat deposits that are commonly found on women on the leg area, buttocks, and thighs is known as cellulite. It attaches itself to the connective tissue and forces it's way up to the skin surface. Cellulite mostly is seen on women and is commonly described as an orange peel or cottage cheese. It is frequently described as an orange peel, mattress, or cottage cheese that generally appears on women. Occasionally men will get it, but ninety to ninety-eight percent of cellulite takes place in women. It was first recognized about 150 years ago by doctors in France, and first named cellulitis. Several doctors these days call it the so-called cellulite and don't recognize it as a type of skin condition. But if is not a skin condition, then how comeis it so toilsome to eliminate? What you might think may not be the answer.

Cellulite is a common ailment that numerous women get. When the adipose cells form unevenly and give the epidermis that bumpy look in the subcutaneous area, cellulite occurs. The adipose cells are held together by collagen, the connective tissue that is the framework for the skin. The collagen contains elastic tissues that allow the skin expand and pull. Bigger women will often have a more apparent formation of cellulite, but it can be seen on skinny women as well. Genetic make-up is the dominant factor when determining epidermal formation.

Women of all races in all lands are affected by cellulite. There are a variety of different products that guarantee to smooth out the skin and take away the lumpiness, but none really have any kind of permanent effect on the epidermal appearance. Many of the products will temporarily reduce the circumference of the thighs, but they return to normal when the applications are ceased. A more apparent uneven surface can be the result of liposuction, therefore it is not advised. Epidermal massaging techniques and Endermology may move fat cells around a bit and swell up the skin tissue a bit, but it doesn't do much good in getting rid of cellulite.

When women age to 30, their skin reaches the maximum thickness that it will get and is more susceptible to extra fat cells sticking out from the skin. This vulnerability rises when women do not exercise and have poor eating habits. A regular amount of body fat on healthy women is 20 to 25% and much of this is stowed away on the thighs and butt. When women lose weight, the fat cells do not alter in structure and leave cellulite deposits even with a big drop in pounds. Doctors advise a nutritious diet and routine exercise to drop weight gradually to avoid this. Extreme diets and fast weight drop may make someone lose an excess weight too fast and lead to an even more pronounced case of cellulite.

Cardiovascular exercise and good nutrition are the only actual ways to eliminate cellulite. Women who have cellulite and want to do something about it should go on a reduced calorie diet to lower the amount of body fat they have. Working out 3-5 times a week with regular weight resistance and cardiovascular exercise will greatly reduce body fat. Cycling, running, or swimming are activities that women can participate in that are entertaining and have cardiovascular advantages also. The layer of skin that holds cellulite is laying over the muscles, so weight training is important. If muscles are unhealthy, they are more susceptible to the bumpy look of the skin.

Your standard extra body fat does vary slightly from cellulite. Women who have experienced cellulite or are experiencing it right now might be tempted to try one of the hundreds of different products, but remember they have no proven lasting effectiveness. Women the least likely to be affected by cellulite are those with a low percentage of body fat, such as female athletes. A lower calorie diet and regular working out will be your best chance when it comes to eliminating the lumpiness.
