Several Truths About Candida Albicans

Candidiasis, or more generally known around the earth as a yeast infection, is a standard disorder that most of the population of the earth will deal with in their life at one time . When we hear the words "yeast infection" many of us think of it as a woman's problem. The fact is that everyone can get a yeast infection whether you are young or mature, man or female, or physically fit otherwise. People commonly develop yeast infections on their hands and fingers, on the feet and toes, and in other various areas where the skin is exposed to too much moisture and darkness, like the armpit area or, in women, the place around or beneath the breasts. So now that we know that everyone can get a yeast infection practically anywhere, it's crucial to know just what a yeast infection is.

Mold develops when the yeast Candida albicans touches serum, a substance in the blood. Upon contact with the serum, yeast forms into mold and dispatches tubes from it's body named hyphe. The human body breaks down when the hyphe attack the cells by secreting toxic fluid. The hyphe can penetrate the epidermis. This is so they can locate more serum and thus make more cells. If you have noticed an affliction that can be seen, this process has probably already happened.

Yeast infections are a result of a kind of fungus called Candida albicans. The human body is not affected by most of these but there are one-hundred types of Candida albicans and over one-hundred thousand categories of fungus. Bacterias and plants have similar properties that differ from fungus. It is almost a combination of characteristics from both plants and animals. Though it absolutely is similar to a plant more, it does not rely on the sun's rays for the acquisition of nutrition, or the process called photosynthesis. Much like a parasite, it gets the nutrition from the environment around it. Similar to a tick you may find attached to you in the forest, fungi absorbs nutrients by decomposing tissue and secreting enzymes to break it down. Wet places, dirt, water, and instances of decay like in a rotting tree stump are all places fungus usually does well. Fungus has to have oxygen to thrive, similar to plants and animals.

As the fungus develops and thrives on the human body, the infection that results is known as Candidiasis. Interestingly enough, the term "yeast infection" is not a totally accurate description of the ailment. You see, fungus can develop into either a yeast form or a mold form. Yeast is when single cell growth occurs in the fungus. Mold happens when lots of groups of fungi cells form. Regularly, the body can defend itself against the yeast form of Candida albicans. It's when the yeast develops into mold that the body begins to react and we notice that something is not right.

It is not normally a serious harm to someone's health, just a threat to someone's comfort, even though there are more severe cases.
