Different Facts Pertaining to Candida Albicans

At some time in their life or another the majority of the world's people will have to deal with Candidiasis, otherwise called a yeast infection. When we hear the phrase "yeast infection" many of us think of it as a woman's problem. The fact is that everybody can get a yeast infection whether you are young or mature, man or woman, or healthy otherwise. People most often develop yeast infections on their hands and fingernails, on the feet and toes, and in other similar areas where the skin is exposed to too much moisture and darkness, like the armpit area or, in females, the place around or below the breasts. So now that we know that everybody can come down with a yeast infection practically everywhere, it's important to know just what a yeast infection is.

Yeast infections are caused by a type of fungus known as Candida albicans. There are as many as a hundred different kinds of Candida and over 100,000 kinds of fungus, but the human body normally isn't harmed by the majority of these. A fungus has individual properties that make it coincidental but different from a plant or bacteria. It is almost a mixture of aspects from plants and animals. Though it without a doubt is similar to a plant more, it does not depend on the sun's rays for the gathering of nutrients, or the process called photosynthesis. It obtains its nutrients from the elements around it, much like a parasite. Kind of like a tick you may find attached to you in the woods, fungi gets nutrients by breaking down tissue and secreting enzymes to destroy it. Fungus usually thrives in soil, water and wet areas, and instances of decay, such as a rotting tree stump. Just like plants and animals, fungi has to have oxygen to live.

As the fungus develops and cultivates on the body, the infection that results is called Candidiasis. Interestingly enough, the term "yeast infection" is not an entirely accurate description of the affliction. You see, fungus can form into either a yeast form or a mold . Yeast is when single cell growth occurs in the fungus. Mold happens when multiple colonies of fungi cells develop. A yeast infection can normally be fought off by the body's natural defenses. People notice something is wrong when the body starts to react and the yeast forms into mold.

Mold forms when the yeast Candida albicans touches serum, a fluid in the blood. Hyphe are tubes that are transmitted from the mold cells when they come into touch with serum. The human body breaks down when the hyphe attack the cells by secreting poisonous fluid. The hyphe can penetrate the skin. This is so they can find more serum and thus make more cells. If you have noticed an affliction that can be seen, this process has probably already happened.

The good news is that using natural remedies you can generally cure a yeast infection. There are naturally more serious cases, but usually a yeast infection isn't a severe risk to our health; it's just a real threat to our comfort. People should be capable of preventing it in the future after you've conducted a little research.
