It has also been theorized that the body can only take in a certain number of nutrients and so much food at any given time. Consuming to much at any given meal will actually do just the opposite because the body will turn the extra calories left over into fat. Basically, your metabolism is in hibernation all day and then is overloaded with a large amount of calories at once. This is why some of us to feel so drained after eating dinner at night.

Also, women who had breakfast tended to consume less high calorie snacks throughout the day to make up for the body's hunger. The worst part is that the fast foods that are available to most of us are unhealthy and high in calories, and when you skip out on meals and start to get hungry throughout the day these foods are the items you will eat.
