Different Facts That Have to Do With Candida Albicans

At some time in their life or another the majority of the earth's people will have to deal with Candidiasis, also called a yeast infection. When we hear the words "yeast infection" many of us think of it as a woman's dilemma. The fact is that everybody can get a yeast infection whether you are young or mature, man or woman, or healthy otherwise. People most often develop yeast infections on their hands and fingers, on the feet and toes, and in other various areas where the skin is exposed to too much moisture and darkness, like the armpit area or, in ladies, the place between or beneath the breasts. So now that we know that anybody can get a yeast infection practically everywhere, it's important to know exactly what a yeast infection is.

Mold forms when the yeast Candida albicans touches serum, a fluid in the blood. Upon touching the serum, yeast transforms into mold and dispatches tentacles from it's body called hyphe. This hyphe is the part that secretes the poisonous liquid that breaks down cells in the body. The hyphe can be driven into the epidermis. This is so they can locate more serum and thus produce more mold. The infection has already occurred by the time you notice an outbreak.

As the fungus develops and thrives on the human body, the infection that results is called Candidiasis. Interestingly enough, the term "yeast infection" is not an entirely accurate description of the affliction. You see, fungus can develop into either a yeast or a mold form. Fungus that happens by itself is called yeast. When cells form into multiple groups it is known as mold. Normally, the body can fight off the yeast form of Candida albicans. It's when the yeast forms into mold that the body starts to react and you observe that something is wrong.

Candida is the title of the fungus that causes yeast infections. The human body is not harmed by the majority of these but there are over 100 types of Candida albicans and over one-hundred thousand categories of fungus. A fungus has individual properties that make it similar but varied from a plant or bacteria. It is almost a combination of aspects from both plants and animals. Though it absolutely is similar to a plant more, it does not depend on the sunlight for the gathering of nutrients, or the process known as photosynthesis. A lot like a parasite, it obtains it's nutrition from the elements around it. Kind of like a chigger you might find hooked to you in the forest, fungi gets nutrition by decomposing tissue and secreting enzymes to destroy it. Fungus usually does well in soil, water and wet areas, and instances of decay, such as a rotting tree stump. Fungus needs oxygen to live, similar to plants and animals.

If all these facts make you a little queasy, rest assured that most of the time with a bit of knowledge about what to do you can cure a yeast infection pretty easily implementing natural products. It is not usually a serious harm to a person's health, just a menace to someone's comfort, even though there are more serious cases. Do a bit of research and you should be able to cure the infection and prevent it more in the future.
