Candidiasis, or more generally known around the earth as a yeast infection, is a common disorder that most of the people of the earth will deal with in their lives at some time . Many of us picture a woman's affliction when we hear the phrase "yeast infection". The fact is that everyone, young and old, man and female, can contract this fungal affliction on many places in or on the body. Hands, fingers, toes, feet, and even around the breasts are just a couple of the areas people can develop yeast infections. So now that we know that everybody can get a yeast infection virtually everywhere, it's crucial to know exactly what a yeast infection is.

Candidiasis is the result of fungus growing and thriving in the body. Interestingly enough, the term "yeast infection" is not a completely accurate description of the ailment. You see, fungus can form into either a yeast or a mold . Fungus that occurs singly is known as yeast. When cells develop into a lot of groups it is called mold. Normally, the human body can defend itself against the yeast form of Candida albicans. People observe something is not right when the body starts to react and the yeast forms into mold.

Yeast infections are caused by a kind of fungus known as Candida albicans. The body isn't harmed by most of these but there are over one-hundred kinds of Candida albicans and more than one-hundred thousand categories of fungus. Germs and plants have similar aspects that differ from fungus. It is kind of a combination of characteristics from both plants and animals. Photosynthesis, the process plants undergo to change sun rays to nutrition, is not a trait of fungus who does not depend on this. Kind of like a parasite, it acquires the nutrients from the elements around it. Kind of like a chigger you may find hooked to you in the forest, fungi absorbs nutrients by breaking down tissue and secreting enzymes to destroy it. Fungus naturally thrives in dirt, water and wet areas, and instances of decay, such as a rotting tree stump. Fungus has to have oxygen to thrive, just like plants and animals.

A substance found in the blood named serum forming mold causes Candida albicans. Upon touching the serum, yeast develops into mold and dispatches tentacles from the body called hyphe. The human body breaks down when the hyphe encounter the cells by dispensing poisonous fluid. The hyphe can penetrate the skin. This is so they can locate more serum and thus make more cells. The affliction has already happened by the time you see an outbreak.

If all these facts make you a little squeamish, take comfort in knowing that usually with a bit of knowledge about what to do you can cure a yeast infection moderately easily using natural products. There are of course more serious cases, but usually a yeast infection is not a real risk to our health; it's just a serious threat to our comfort. Do a bit of research and people should be capable of curing the affliction and inhibit it better in the future.
