New Job for Luttig
This is of the most interest to federal-courts-watchers and to ambitious and accomplished 2Ls eyeing the clerkship season, but apparently 4th-Circuit feeder-judge extraordinaire Michael Luttig has just resigned to work for Boeing. Every graduating 3L rueful that he or she was passed over for the Luttig clerkship is now probably thanking his or her lucky stars.

O Freunde, nicht diese Töne
Not to circumspect (but circumspecting): there seems to be a lot of talk recently about traffic on Crescat, on content on the blog, not to mention the worried &c's that seem to be raised the by the dearth therein (the pounding V-I's of a symphonic terminus, name calling, Delphic speculation, yadda, yadda, yadda). And although traffic is nice, it ought not be the sole motivating force behind a blog's maintenance--imagine if we were all to measure our self worth by the number of people watching and commenting on our every statement. Even worse, imagine, if we were to measure the worth of our statements by the number of Talmudic ripples they propagate through the ol' academic teapot.
So, lest we here at Crescat look like attention-grubbing roundheads (yes, I went there), endlessly swirling in ream upon ream of speculation, deprecation and self-doubt, I would like to make the formal statement, at least for me (perhaps others will chime in):
I'm quite busy right now, but won't be shortly.Comments (2)
I'll have you over for tea then.
